  • Descrizione: A retired General and old-fashioned father, Charilaos (Orestis Makris), has four daughters: Eleni (Gelly Mavropoulou), Katina (Tzeni Karezi), Maria (Margarita Papageorgiou) and Angeliki (Niki Papadatou). Three of them are now old enough to get married, but how will they ever find a husband when their father never lets them go out without a chaperone? Indeed, the family lives under strict, military discipline. So Charilaos decides to invite his widowed sister, who lives in Chicago, to help out in the husband-chase. Aunt Kalliopi (Georgia Vasileiadou) accepts the invitation, comes to Athens and changes everything in Charilaos’ household, from furniture and cutlery to clothes and drinks. The next step is to put the aunt’s cunning plan into action. The girls lurk on the balcony and whenever a man (and possible husband) passes by, they drop jugs full of water in front of them, drenching the unsuspecting men. Then, they apologize politely and invite the victim upstairs to help him dry his clothes. That way the aunt manages to find husbands for all her nieces – and for herself as well.
